Matthew Broderick Plays Ferris Bueller In An Advert For Something

Who didn’t love John Hughes’ Ferris Bueller’s Day Off growing up? Matthew Broderick will always be Ferris. Ain’t no two ways about it,

A teaser for an unknown commercial (we’re through the looking glass here, people) set to air during the Super Bowl sees Brodders playing the icon teenager as a middle-aged man. No doubt Broderick got paid shit loads of cash for this.

The world would love to know what Bueller… Bueller has got up to since his 1987 heyday but looks like this commercial is all we’ll ever get… especially since the passing of director/writer Hughes.

Of course the Super Bowl is a big deal in the USA. American football is also a big deal, though college football is more popular. American footie is like soccer minus the fun and poetic sense of motion and skill. It’s got all the grace of a cauliflower earlobe.

Super Bowl also sees the annual Hollywood splurge on adverts for summer blockbusters to get the geeks hot and bothered. Watch Ferris below in this ten second clip.
